You have probably seen this car already. Pictures of it have been around the last week or so. We just didn't get around to posting them. Over at the Motor Trend blog, they posted that Nissan said the modified firefighting GT-R could still run the ring under 8 minutes with all the gear in place.
First off, there's the extra 441 lbs. of equipment onboard, consisting of a roll cage-enclosed 13-gallon water tank, medium-pressure extinguisher system, hose winding device, and radio communication gear. The extinguisher features a 60-ft. foam reach and a 66-ft. long hose that are good enough to fight a fire for two minutes on one tank.
