The Donut King GT-R has been featured around the web, and in magazines all over the world. It was the first GT-R imported to Australia and has competed in several Targa races. . It stands out, as it runs the Donut King pink liverly. Three drivers will be at the helm of the GT-R for the 12 hour race, Tony Alford, Peter Leemhuis and Mal Rose . Competing in Class C, the GT-R will be going up against a Corvette, BMW M3, and several Lotus Exige. The race weekend is February 4-6, 2011 at the Mount Panorma Racetrack.
The team had this to say: "“We know the strengths and the weaknesses of the car and its drivers and we know how to manage everything over the course of a race. There are no egos in the team and the crew working on the car are the same people who come away with us to the Nurburgring."
Wishing them luck in the grueling 12 hour race. Lots of things happen over 12 hours of racing. I will be looking for some more information on the car specifications as raced in this event.
