Stiffening the chassis to handle the Nissan GT-R drivetrain |
In this third installment of the Nissan Juke-R build, we see some of the support structure, and roll cage to handle the Nissan GT-R drivetrain. They have proved the concept that the Nissan GT-R driveline will work in a shorted wheelbase chassis. Still no word on weight, but it looks like they are adding a lot of roll cage tubing. All the tube adds weight, but the stripping of interior parts removes it. I wonder if they are going to keep it pretty stock, or if they are going to throw a bit of a Cobb tune on it. Maybe some
LC4?
"VIDEO 3 - THE BUILD BEGINS - Having tested that the Nissan GT-R systems work perfectly in a shortened wheelbase, the team starts to build the Juke-R. Work begins on constructing a complex roll cage inside the Juke's body shell, as well as the structure that will house the GT-R's engine, drivetrain and other vital systems."
