The magazine guys have a great job at times. Nissan loaned Motor Trend a 2013 Nissan GT-R Black Edition for a year, long term test. Ed Loh tells the story of how Motor Trend got a second long term Nissan GT-R. Lots of YouTube videos, and some great print stories.
So, what are we going to do with a stronger, yet smoother Godzilla on its second go 'round? Same thing we did the first time: match it up against everything we can get our hands on to generate a zillion more video and page views. On its off days? Well, I like to think that this our victory lap with the GT-R, so it will spend time with each and every staffer -- like Lord Stanley's Cup. You'd better believe we're going to enjoy ourselves all over again.

I don't think that most people realize how staggeringly fast the stock Nissan GT-R actually is. Super car quick for 1/2 the money. You don't have the look that most of the supercar buyers desire, but as a fast daily driveable street car its not too bad.
