2013 Nissan GT-R Black Edition - Underwater Car |
So far in the R35 GT-R's life cycle, water, Tsunamis, and natural disaster hasn't been very nice to the cars. When the earthquake and Tsunami hit Japan in 2011, a good number of 2012 Nissan GT-R's were destroyed.
More recently when Hurricane Sandy and the surge hit the eastern seaboard of the US, several more Nissan GT-R's that were sitting at the port were destroyed. Just in case you ever run across some "cheap" Nissan GT-R's overseas, you will want to check them against a VIN list of Sandy cars. The one I saw recently, still had water inside. Supposedly sea water in the engine, transmission, and everywhere else.
So far this 2013 Nissan GT-R Black Edition at IAAI is bid up to $51,000 which seems like a lot of money for something that is a very big unknown. JN1AR5EFXDM261478
