An earlier drawing calling out 2017 as the next GT-R. |
I file this in my bullshit file. Even though it's coming from Motor Trend, 2016 MY is very close(we have 2014 MY on the ground now), and from what I have heard, Nissan is very early in designing the next generation car. Development on the R35 started around 2000/2001. The R35 wasn't released until 2007 in Japan. So a one/two year cycle for an all new car is not likely.

So if there is going to be a R36 in 2016, I would think it is just a freshening. Perhaps the R-Hybrid is closer than we think? First off we have the 2015 NISMO coming up at Tokyo in November.
