Nissan in the late 1980's and early 1990's had a good run at Australian touring car, and at the huge race at Bathurst. In 1993 the GT-R was effectively outlawed by the series by a rules change. Once again, Nissan hits this track with the GT-R, this time in GT3 guise for the 12 hour race. Four drivers split duties, with Rick Kelly, Alex Buncombe, Wolfgang Reip and Katsumasa Chiyo at the helm February 9th.
